Within the scope of the HEM244 Nursing Career Opportunities course, a guest lecture was held on March 9, 2026, organized and moderated by Dr. Ayşegül Oksay Şahin. The event featured Aysu Alperen, MSc, RN, Quality Unit Nurse at Karabük Training and Research Hospital, as the invited speaker.
During the session, Ms. Alperen shared her professional journey with students, discussing her experiences ranging from intensive care nursing in both public and private hospitals to her current role in healthcare management. She also provided insights into the work of hospital quality units, as well as activities related to education, research, and development within healthcare institutions.
In addition, she reflected on the opportunities and challenges encountered throughout her career and offered valuable advice to future nursing professionals. The session, which students followed with great interest, concluded with an interactive Q&A segment. The event ended with the presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation to the guest speaker.
