The Department of Nursing achieved a historic milestone at SOSYALFEST 2026, Turkey’s Social Sciences Festival, held on May 10–11, 2026. Organized under the leadership of Karabük University and hosted by Istanbul University, the festival’s competition themed "Innovative Practices in Health Education" saw our faculty and students secure the top three rankings with their visionary projects.
Award-Winning Projects:
First Prize: Nursing student Kübra Ünlüyüm KAÇAR was awarded first place for her project titled "(KİMDES) Tracking and Support System for the Unaccompanied and Disadvantaged," developed within the field of Technology Integration in Healthcare.
Second Prize: The project titled "NIR CAMERA-EQUIPPED SMART TOURNIQUET," prepared by student Fatemeh Abolfathzadeh under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Şenay ŞENER, earned second place for its innovative approach.
Third Prize: The project titled “PREVCARE-VR: A VR-Assisted Clinical Training and Skill Development Model for Nurses to Prevent Pressure Ulcers,” led by Assoc. Prof. Duygu KES, was awarded third place for its significant contribution to digital transformation in health education.
